RULES OF DISCIPLINE

Every student is expected to behave well at all times and in all places. He/she should always remember that the school is judged by his/her conduct. The whole-hearted cooperation of the parents is expected at all times in the formation of the character of their children. As the child progresses from the lower to the upper classes he/she will be given increasing opportunities to shift from conforming to externally

imposed order to self-imposed discipline. The school will insist on strict punctuality, greater school attendance, cleanliness in dress, general grooming and fidelity to study and work assignment.

  1. The students must be in the school premises, at least 5 minutes before the assembly bell.
  1. Pupil who is late will not enter the classroom unless she/he brings to the teacher a note from the Principal. Students are liable to be sent home for coming late to school.
  1. At the first bell all the students should make their way to the place of assembly in absolute silence. At the second bell the assembly will commence.
  1. After the assembly all should go in silence to their respective classes. Moving along the corridors in groups, while classes are in progress, should be done in silence.
  1. Regular latecomers will be punished. The latecomers and those who have been absent the previous day must bring an application from their parents, which they have to get signed by the Principal.
  1. A student whose dress or appearance is untidy may be refused admission to the class and is liable to be sent home in which case the school disclaims all responsibility. Students without the school diary are liable to the same penalty.
  1. Making unnecessary noise, running around and playing, shouting, yelling. howling, whistling etc.. anywhere in the school building is not permitted.
  1. All homework should be done neatly, regularly and correctly. The textbooks, notebooks and other necessary articles for days should be brought every day.
  1. Speaking English is a must within the school premises. The class monitor assumes responsibility for this as well as order and discipline of the class in the absence of the teacher.
  1. Students are forbidden to leave the school premises during school hours without the written permission of the school Principal. Any breach of this rule is punishable by dismissal.
  1. Students are not allowed to receive visitors in the school.
  1. Cell phones, cameras, pen drive and electronic gadgets are strictly forbidden in the school premises. If any student brings it, it will be confiscated. Polythene bags are not allowed within the school campus.
  1. Detrimental practices such as use of tobacco, drugs or intoxicants, rowdyism, rude behaviour, burning of crackers, casteism and communalism are strictly forbidden. The Principal has the right to refuse continuation of the studies to a student whose conduct or influence is unsatisfactory or harmful to other students.
  1. Money should not be lent or borrowed, neither articles exchanged. No money collection of any sort for any reason will be made without prior permission from the Principal.
  1. Politeness and courtesy of speech are much emphasised. Rude and argumentative behaviour, using foul language or dirty signs to the teachers and students will be strictly dealt with.
  1. Care must be taken of all school property. Those who disfigure the furniture or damage any school property, fine will be taken two times. Any change done will have to be made good by the one who does it or the class responsible for it. Students spilling ink, littering paper, scribbling on the school desk or walls, stealing or damaging other student's belongings or school property will be liable to punishment to the extent of a heavy fine to cover the damage, a suspension or even dismissal.
  1. Attendance on every school function is necessary, especially on national festivals.
  1. No pupil is exempted from curricular and co-curricular activities without a medical certificate.
  1. All the students are to strictly adhere to the pattern of uniform prescribed by the school.
  1. Applications for any certificate must be made in writing. These will only be issued on working days after the receipt of the application.
  1. In case of accidents, school will provide only first-aid. Other related treatment will be the responsibility of the parents.
  1. Students are not allowed to come to school on powered vehicles, without a valid driving license. School will not be responsible for any mis-happenings outside the school premises. School does not provide any conveyance to students. Parents are responsible for their wards' conveyance.
  1. No school business will be transacted after school hours.
  1. All are expected to attend class on the opening day of the school after each of the vacation, failing which a severe fine will be imposed.
  1. Pupils who are absent from the school, even for one day, are required to bring a LEAVE LETTER, duly signed by their parent/guardian stating the cause of absence. Those who fail to bring a leave letter on the day of their re-joining classes, after a period of absence will not be allowed to attend the classes until they furnish the required letter.
  1. Repeated absence without leave for more than seven consecutive days renders the pupil liable to have his/her name struck off from rolls. Re admission, if granted, at the discretion of the Principal, will be done on payment of re-admission fee.
  1. When a student falls ill, the Principal should be informed at the earliest and when he/she re-joins school, must bring an application signed by parents, (and a valid medical certificate if he/she has bee absent for more that 3 days) failing which admissions to the class will be refused.
  1. Students are not permitted to bring whitener and markers to the school. They are rather encouraged to write neatly without mistakes.
  1. No one is permitted to use school mono without the prior permission from the principal.
  1. Students visiting the school regarding office work, consulting the teacher/ meeting the Principal are expected to wear the school uniform failing which they are liable to be sent back.
